Part One
The Odyssey is an epic about Odysseus's journey told by a blind poet named Homer. Odysseus was an intelligent soldier and commander during the Trojan War. After the war, Odysseus finds himself on a long journey home while using his intelligence to get out of sticky situations. However, his never dying pride causes more and more trouble for him. Never the less, his determination helps him keep track of home.
The theme of The Odyssey is to have plenty of determination when dealing with anything you plan on accomplishing. Odysseus faced many temptations, unfaithfulness, and other hardships. However, his goal was to reclaim his palace, wife, and son. he never gives up and is determined to reach his goal.
